Greenrock feels that Bermuda needs to start taking global climate change seriously. The rising sea level will have an impact on Bermuda, particularly on our lowest lying area: the airport. We all know how vital that is for our lifestyle. In addition the intensity of hurricanes and other storms will increase with increased day to day disruption. However these are only the most obvious effects.

WWE champion john layfieldFormer WWE champion and Bermuda resident John Layfield is urging people to turn out in force to show support for Earth Hour today.

Mr Layfield, who founded Beyond Rugby Bermuda, a partnership between the Family Center and Bermuda Rugby Football Union, to give children a better environment in which to do well.

EH SpidermanWith Spider-Man designated as the superhero ambassador for this year's global observance of Earth Hour, children in Bermuda are being invited to come to Saturday's Earth Hour activities in Hamilton dressed as their favourite superhero.

And the first 25 children who arrive at City Hall in costume will each receive a young cedar tree, donated by SOS Bermuda, a local charity whose mission is to protect the Island's open spaces.
